The Basics

- apply for an Amazon.com Store Card
- use it to purchase one of selected cameras, lenses or other products included in this offer,
- make your minimum payments on time every month and pay off your entire bill within 12 months and you won’t pay any interest on your purchase. Plus, if you buy other products on the same order, they may also qualify for this deal.
The Amazon.com Store Card is good for purchases from Amazon.com only. Amazon says there is no annual fee and online credit approval takes “as little as 30 seconds.” I have not taken advantage of this deal myself, but for those who need it, it seems pretty fair to me. The Fine Print
For any deal like this, there is always fine print. I’ve been buying from Amazon for years and have always found their customer service to be top-notch, so I wouldn’t expect the terms of this deal (listed below) to have many gotchas.
Most no-interest deals are contingent on your timely payments; miss a payment and all bets are off. Amazon’s terms aren’t 100% clear on this, but I would expect that if you miss a single payment, you’ll pay interest on the entire purchase at the exorbitant rates listed: up to 29.99%! So, make those payments on time.
The offer only applies to items sold directly by Amazon, not by any third-party vendors who advertise their goods on Amazon’s site.

- Offer is subject to credit approval.
- Applies to any order total that includes an advertised eligible product sold by Amazon.com made between 5/31/10 and 6/30/10 on an Amazon.com Store Card account (“Qualifying Purchase”).
- 1-Click and phone orders do not apply to this promotion.
- Any purchase of products sold on Amazon.com by third-party sellers do not count as a Qualifying Purchase but may receive the benefit of this offer if on the same order as a Qualifying Purchase.
- No interest will be assessed on the promotional purchase if you pay the following (the “promotional balance”) in full within the required promotional period:
- (1) the promotional purchase amount, and
- (2) any optional debt cancellation charges related to the promotional purchase.
- If you do not, interest will be assessed on the promotional balance from the date of the purchase.
- Minimum monthly payments required.
